Reed Wax Resist brushes out thin and without drag, so the line stays where the brush placed it, which suits foot rings, lid galleries and brushed decoration. On bisque the coat is dry enough to glaze over within minutes, so a piece can be waxed and glazed in one session, and over an applied glaze it needs a few hours. The coat dries clear, and a drop of food colouring stirred in makes the coverage easier to see. It burns away completely in the firing, so nothing needs to be removed first except excess wax beads from application. Brushes wash out in warm soapy water before the wax sets.
