Draw on bisque ware, then blend and soften the colour with a finger or a cotton swab. Sharpen a crayon for fine detail, brush water over a drawing for a watercolour look, or dissolve the crayon in water to paint or spray it. Gray and medium blue hold colour to cone 10, dark brown, blue green and yellow green to cone 5, and lilac to cone 05. Cover the finished work with a clear glaze before it is used for food.
