TT4 is the right-handed half moon in Kemper's turning range, for shaping, contouring and trimming clay and plaster on the wheel. The heavy steel head is brazed to a steel shaft. That matters on the wheel, because a turning tool takes its load sideways against a piece coming round at speed and a pinned joint can work loose. It works on plaster as well as clay, which is useful if you turn your own moulds.
