The Sirius BP02 is built for teaching studios and for potters working on their own. A brushless DC motor drives the head through a belt, and BTH describes it as smooth running with low vibration in a compact footprint. BTH rates the motor at 800 W maximum input, 0.7 hp, with 20 N·m of torque, and lists a maximum load of 40 kg (88 lb) on the 315 mm (12.4 in) head. The speed runs from 0 to 300 rpm in either direction. With the motor off the head spins freely by hand, so the wheel doubles as a banding wheel for decorating. The two piece splash pan locks together magnetically and lifts off for cleaning. The legs adjust so the head sits between 480 and 580 mm (19 and 23 in) off the floor. BTH lists running noise at 45 dB. Body 680 × 640 mm (26.8 × 25.2 in), 31 kg (68 lb). Runs on 110 V, 60 Hz.
