MKM's SCS-168 is a round wooden stamp, 15 mm (1.5 cm) across, with an elephant with tusks design cut into the face. Press it straight into soft clay and it leaves one clean impression. Use it on its own, repeat it in a row for a border, or press it into the foot of a pot as your maker's mark. Firm, even pressure gives the sharpest print, and a light dusting of cornstarch on the face stops it sticking to tacky clay.
