A red rubber stopper for closing the hole in a coin bank or other piece, size #7 for an opening of about 29 mm (1 1/8 in).

Push the stopper into the hole from the outside and the flange stops it from sliding through. The rubber grips the opening, so it holds tight but still pulls out when the piece needs emptying. Clay shrinks as it dries and fires, so cut the hole in the wet piece a little larger than the stopper, then check the fit once it's fired. The size number is stamped on top of each stopper.
