PTS20 is the 6 x 15 mm (0.25 x 0.6 in) angled in Kemper's PRO-LINE "S" range, the mid-size heads between the "M" detail tools and the full-size 300 and 400 series. PRO-LINE tools pair a select hardwood handle with a loop of knife-quality high carbon steel that has been heat treated and quenched in oil. Carbon steel takes a sharper edge than stainless and holds it longer, even in heavily grogged clay or plaster, but it will rust if it is put away wet. The loop is held by a brass ferrule set in industrial adhesive and the handle is sealed in an oil-resin bath to keep water out. The 6 x 15 mm (0.25 x 0.6 in) head decides how much you take per pass and how tight a curve it will follow. Dry it after use and give the blade and handle a light oil now and then. It can be resharpened on an oil or water stone. Keep it off a power grinder, which would draw the temper.
