The Mudcutter has a stainless steel frame and a polymer handle, with a wire strung across a bowed opening. It cuts with one hand and leaves the other free to steady the clay. Use it to cut lengths off a pug mill or extruder, or to cut the angle on a spout before you attach it to a piece. This one comes with the straight wire, which leaves a clean flat cut face. It is slightly larger than the Carving Bow, so the two take different wires. Straight and curly replacement wires are sold separately.
