The bowl rib is curved along its length and across its width at the same time, which is the whole idea: pressed into the inside of a bowl it makes contact along a broad arc rather than at a single point, so one pass leaves a continuous surface instead of a series of flats. A flat kidney rib fights a round interior. This is the small one, for cups and bowls rather than platters. Green sits in the middle of the five-level scale. If you are buying one grade to start with, this is the one that does the most jobs adequately. Polymer, so there is no metal edge to bruise the clay. Central hole for hanging.
