On a big platter or the outside of a tall form, the extra width means fewer passes and fewer seams between them. On small work it is unwieldy, so it trades control for coverage. Yellow is the soft grade. It gives under hand pressure, so it smooths without cutting, and it will not hold a line if you lean on it. Polymer, so there is no metal edge to bruise the clay. Central hole for hanging.
