MR6 is number 6 in Kemper's mini ribbon series. Kemper's ribbon tools are named for the thin flat ribbon of steel that forms the cutting head. It gives a sharp edge with extra strength along the line of the cut. The mini head reaches into a tight undercut, the inside of a small closed form, or detail on a figure. Being small, it removes very little clay per pass, so it is a finishing tool more than a shaping one.
