LT8 is the 44 mm (1 3/4 in) triangle in Kemper's loop range. A loop tool cuts on the pull. The wire loop shears a shaving off the surface instead of ploughing through it, which is why it leaves a clean face on leather-hard clay where a blunt tool would tear. The 44 mm (1 3/4 in) head sets how much you take per pass and how tight a curve you can follow. A smaller loop suits detail and tight curves, a larger one clears ground quickly.
