Dots and Lines Hand Roller

The Dots and Lines design alternates grooved lines with rows of small dots, a simple pattern that works as a border or an allover texture. MKM carves each hand roller from hardwood and finishes it with tung oil. It is 10 cm (4 in) long and about 1.5 cm (5/8 in) across, small and light enough to roll up the wall of a thrown piece as well as across a slab. The ends are rounded, so passes laid side by side blend without a line between them, and the bevelled edges lift away from the clay cleanly without a release agent. Roll once with even pressure on soft clay. Clean it with water and a soft toothbrush.
