Brush it over a glaze that has already been fired, then fire again at a low temperature. Over glossy glaze it fires bright and mirror like, and over matte glaze it fires dull. Brush a thin, even coat onto a clean, dry surface, since thick coats can blister or flake. Fire with the kiln well vented, and work in a well ventilated room with the gold kept off your skin.
