8R1 Ribbon Tool, 203 mm Double Ended Steel

8R1 is one of seven shapes in Kemper's eight-inch ribbon range, with a cutting head at each end. One end is an asymmetric rounded scoop with a wide flat top edge; the other a low peaked triangular blade with a long straight cutting edge. Kemper's ribbon tools are named for the thin flat ribbon of steel that forms the cutting head. It gives a sharp edge with extra strength along the line of the cut. At 203 mm (8 in) it is long enough to reach into a hollowed form without your knuckles catching on the rim.
