Cobalt and chromium together in one crystal give green. In Teal Blue aluminium takes the place of some of the chromium, which removes part of the chromium absorption, so the cobalt blue comes forward and the colour moves to teal. Mason lists it under its green chemistry for that reason. It is marked for use as a body stain in porcelain, fired in oxidation to 1260°C (2300°F) or below.
- A teal from cobalt and chromium in one crystal, with aluminium in place of part of the chromium
- Marked by Mason for use as a body stain in porcelain
- Ceiling 1260°C (2300°F), about cone 9, with an oxidising firing
- A fired and milled pigment, so it disperses into a glaze without grinding
